About Chris Peach

In April 2011, Chris Peach and his wife decided they were tired of being “normal” Americans, living paycheck to paycheck and putting everything on credit.

They had a nice house, two newer cars, and name brand everything in their closets. But when his wife’s credit cards were all declined at the grocery store and they had no money to pay for their food that week, they decided it was time for a change.

They sold their cars, their clothes, his wife’s jewelry, they said no to going on vacations and spending money, they started working overtime, Chris started cleaning pools for extra money on his days off, and they created a written budget for the first time in their lives.

Seven months later, they had paid off $52,000 of debt.

After paying off $52,000 of debt, Chris realized his passion for helping other people do the same thing.

He coached friends and family members about money.

Then he started helping friends of friends.

That grew to teaching classes to help more people learn how to manage their money.

And eventually, Money Peach was born to spread the word to the masses through the weekly blog posts and podcast episodes.

Chris also regularly contributes to Grow from Acorns.
